Technical walkthrough

How JadePDF handles a document

The verified launch tools use a static application and the user's browser. This page describes the actual processing boundary, not an aspirational backend.

Cloudflare Pages

       ↓
User browser
├─ receives a local File object
├─ reads PDF/image bytes into memory
  ├─ runs the verified transformation
└─ creates a local Blob download

Step 1

Load the static application

Cloudflare Pages serves HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and the bundled PDF worker. No account or document-processing session is created.

Verify it: Reload with the Network panel open. Requests should be limited to application assets from the JadePDF origin.

Step 2

Select a local document

The browser provides a File object after you choose or drop a PDF or image. The verified workflow reads those bytes into local browser memory.

Verify it: Clear the Network panel before selecting a file. The file should not appear as an outbound request body.

Step 3

Transform the bytes on this device

Bundled JavaScript uses pdf-lib or PDF.js to inspect pages, copy objects, draw text, embed images, or assemble a new document.

Verify it: Record the operation in the Performance panel. The work appears as browser scripting and worker activity rather than a remote processing request.

Step 4

Inspect and download the result

The tool creates a Blob or ArrayBuffer for the output and gives the browser a temporary local download URL.

Verify it: Open the result and compare it with the original before using it in an important workflow.

Try a verified workflow

Open the browser Network panel, merge two non-sensitive test files, and inspect the requests yourself.
